Google Joins Mopria Alliance to Advance Universal Print and Scan Standards
The Mopria® Alliance, a global non-profit membership organization providing universal print and scan standards, today announced Google has joined as an Executive Member, further strengthening the Alliance’s mission to provide universal standards for print and scan. Google’s membership builds on a long-standing collaboration that has already embedded Mopria print technology into Android devices for more than a decade and also supported Mopria scan technology on Chromebooks.

The Mopria® Alliance, a global non-profit membership organization providing universal print and scan standards, celebrates a decade of significant innovation and industry transformation. Today, there are more than 8,000 Mopria certified product models that offer print and/or scan capabilities, with 120 million certified products in active daily use. Mopria achieved 3 billion installations on both computers and mobile devices using the world’s most popular operating systems. This journey is underscored by billions of pages printed or scanned daily.
